How the AufPet story began
Hi, I’m Milena, the founder of AUFPET. Together with Alexandru, my partner, and the four loyal members of our team — Neptun, Vixen, Cleo, and Marta — we turned a childhood passion into a business that brings joy to both dogs and their owners. AUFPET is our story, written with love for animals, hard work, and dreams that come to life.
Since childhood, I dreamed of having a dog. I started as a volunteer, taking care of stray animals and bringing them home, even though my parents weren’t always happy about it.
At 14, I got my first dog, Mary. Two years later, Neptun, a white husky, came into my life. He inspired me to learn dog training and to look for healthier treats for animals.
I was a student in Iași and was looking for a hobby to fill my free time. I discovered the world of dehydration. I started studying and preparing natural dehydrated treats for animals, and my cat Mo was the first enthusiastic “tester.”
I returned to Moldova and laid the foundations of the business. I was preparing treats at home with a small dehydrator, first testing them on my own dogs. Then I opened an Instagram page, and that’s how the first customers appeared.
In the same year, I officially founded AUFPET and received the first grant to start production.
We are constantly expanding. We gave our first interviews, sharing our story with the public. We received a new grant that allowed us to diversify our product range. Every step forward is a chance to make even more owners and dogs smile.
Today, AUFPET is getting closer and closer to you and your dog.
